So, Democrats = Republicans?
The important question is what are Biden's chances of winning against Warren and Sanders? Because whoever wins the democratic primary is most likely going to win against Trump in the general.
On the plus side, you remember how Trump promised to Build The Wall™, cancel all funding of sanctuary cities, end birthright citizenship, establish a commission on Radical Islam, establish congressional term limits, eliminate "common core" educational materials, etc., and none of those things happened?
That's actually a good thing. It shows us the limits of the power of the president, which means that when we do eventually vote a socialist into the executive office, they will likely fail to delivery on a majority of their

Honestly, no.
You use your own words so infrequently in this thread that I've become accustomed to accepting whatever memes you spam onto this page as being equivalent to (and the basis for) your own opinion.

My favorite party about the closed door impeachment meetings is that are being held in a scif, but then members are bringing in cell phones and leaking documents to the press. pretty ironic.

Joe's peers have zero ethics and only care about the current narrative.

Facebook Post
I am no fan of Mark Zuckerberg.
But he does not deserve this nonsense.
AOC's goal here is to clearly implement a standard that can be used to censoring political opponents.
Facebook is NOT a media agency. Facebook is a social media platform. It is not their jobs to fact check on their website, and nor should it.
Why would I want the power to advertise or post on Facebook be held by partisan Facebook employees who, at a whim, could censor posts THEY deem as "not accurate".
What is fake news? A personal opinion? An unconventional opinion? Research supporting alternative conclusions? New research contrary to popular belief?
These lines are absolutely blurred.
For example, the Democrats would love to censor ads and posts on Facebook that claim there is a border crisis.
THEY don't believe there is one.
Should Facebook ban posts calling for increased border security? I mean after all, the Democrats believe it's not true.
These are the type of posts AOC is trying to ban.
It's funny, I don't see the Democrats grilling CNN, an actual news agency, over fake news.
I don't see the Democrats grilling CNN over foaming at the mouth for TWO YEARS over Trump/Russia collusion, obstruction of justice, and impeachment.
I don't see the Democrats grilling CNN over guests spreading flat out lies about Trump, the border, the Republicans, and everything else.
What I do see is AOC and the Democrats trying to interfere with your life.
AOC lies more than almost any other politician, but no one suppresses, or tries to suppress, her lies. Facebook and Twitter have never taken down any of her false posts and tweets.
This entire hearing is antithetical to any principled belief in free speech.
The Democrats don't want free speech, they want censored speech.
AOC craves power. She wants power over your day to day life. She is no different from most Democrats. This is why we should never give them this power.

Democratic members of Congress want taxpayers to subsidize their housing, signing onto legislation that would allow them to deduct living expenses for members of the House of Representatives.
Rep. Bennie Thompson (D., Miss.) introduced a bill that would ban members of Congress from sleeping in their offices and would change the tax code to allow House members to deduct their spending on housing in D.C. up to $3,000. The deduction would not apply to senators.
Thompson has also proposed turning a vacant building near Capitol Hill into apartments for House members at the expensive of taxpayers, which critics have dubbed a "Congressional Animal House."
The taxpayer-watchdog group Citizens Against Government Waste criticized Thompson's legislation and his proposed "taxpayer-funded dorms."
"On May 16, 2018, Rep. Thompson introduced H.R. 5845, the ‘No Couches for Congress Act,' which would ban members of Congress from sleeping in their offices," the group said. "He also proposed converting vacant residence halls near the Capitol into ‘affordable‘ housing for members of Congress, who make $174,000 per year. He claimed that it would be available for members who found housing costs to be ‘prohibitive.'"
"However, the claim that housing is unaffordable is belied by the average monthly cost of a studio apartment in Washington, D.C., which is $1,602, or less than 10 percent of members' annual salary," CAGW continued. "The average American spends 33 percent of his or her annual income on housing."

Youtube, a subsidiary of Google, is relatively efficient at detecting and deleting content which they find to be of a socio-politically objectionable nature. ( @Braineack , don't let me forget, I have a podcast you need to ingest which delves deeply into that specific topic- it's rather interesting.)
It is for this reason that I find it amusing to find the "FBI Copyright Warning" screen intact on the many pirated TV shows and movies which I watch there,

This is the very definition of fake news and multiple lies.
Ilhan Omar tweeted yesterday that a nine-month old baby died due to the big bad orange man.
There are several problems to this, but the biggest one is the fact that the boy isn't dead.
Ilhan Omar tweeted yesterday that a nine-month old baby died due to the big bad orange man.
There are several problems to this, but the biggest one is the fact that the boy isn't dead.
According to the New York Times article, which she provides a link to at the bottom of her tweet, the boy's lips were turning blue due to lack of oxygen in the blood and his mother, Kristin Johnson, rushed him to emergency.
2. The boy was then treated even without insurance.
"Only after he was admitted to intensive care with a respiratory virus did Ms. Johnson learn that he had been dropped from Medicaid coverage."
3. The boy didn't have insurance because his mother didn't submit the proper paperwork.
"For Ms. Johnson, Elijah’s stay at Texas Children’s Hospital led to an appointment with an enrollment counselor who helped her try to figure out what had happened. Trying to re-enroll her older children earlier this year, she was asked for proof of income and missed the 10-day window to provide it; that may be why Texas dropped Elijah from Medicaid even though he qualified because he was a baby."
4. He's now covered under insurance.
"All of her children are now re-enrolled. But she has started receiving thousands of dollars in bills from the baby’s hospital stay — bills she is counting on Medicaid to cover retroactively. And she is haunted by what might have happened if the hospital where she took Elijah had considered the case nonurgent and turned them away."
But besides those 4 things, Omar's tweet was entirely accurate...
Note the retweet/like difference between the initial sad and angry tweet vs the corrected "*almost died" tweet.
The original tweet currently has about 1,400 retweets and 3,400 likes, while the correction has 200 retweets and about 1000 likes.
These tweets/articles always seem to have an egregious anti-Trump/anti-Republican claim, and then they retroactively correct their tweets/articles after the initial wildfire they cause...
Maybe this is the fake news AOC was talking to Zuckerberg about a couple days ago? I doubt it.
