that was my plan before seeing the COP, but now that I see it, the connectors are in there pretty deep and my fingers are short and fat.

Tin the coil terminal and wire first then you can just hold the wire in place and tap it with the iron. That's the easiest way in tight places. Or bust out the dremel. =)

+1.

I am also looking for a set if anyone grabs a few.

The cars are too new to be in the u-pull yards around here, and the non u-pull ones want to sell you the whole harness.

Group buy on coils!!!

I found a source for 24 units (maybe more). So if I can get 6 people to pay $60 for a set of 4 COPs I can do it.

I've been meaning to post this for awhile. I just took some pics. Take it back a few days before I did COP. I had this ocassional misfire under boost which I attributed to "weak Miata ignition" I kept reading about. I switched to COP and the misfire went away. After COP was on and working I ran the car a few weeks to see how it went. Not one misfire. I decided I should pull the plugs and check the color for some visual insite as to how things are running. I pulled #1 (good) #2 (good) #3 (HOLY ****!) #4 (good). Autolite plugs in there?!? (I asked myself) I thought I replaced those a long time ago. Turns out I didn't and I've been running plugs that were actually a heat range hotter then stock! Now add the ford probe, non intercooled, no engine management, no ignition retard, detonating diy setup I ran for monthes and I know exactly how this plug got like this. I've been running/tuning on them for over a year now!

Point is... COP fired this plug with 12psi of boost (pig rich@10.6 af) without a misfire. The other plugs were at .045" That speaks quit a bit about how well the COPs are actually working. =)

It isn't a matter of "plug and play" it is a matter of the coils being female connectors with exposed prongs and thus difficult to homebrew a harness.

60 a set?!!!

Anyone interested in sending some down to Oz? (Nobody seems to want to part with any of these here for less than 250 )

These may work as well, I thought about them but he won't ship to me either :'(

lazzer, how much do you want shipped? I assume you're getting them from a junkyard perhaps?
