fwiw, i just pussed out today and started wiring directly onto the coils.
I sent Y8s a Packard Electric pin yesterday I had that fits on the COP lazzer sent to see if it will work in the Toyota housing. The housings I have are only 3 terminal and have a rounded shape (like the GM BCS) so they won't work even with some modding. He should have it today. I've probably got about 50 pins and I'm sure they're probably cheap from Packard Electric if I can get a part number. I got them loose in a big electical/connector/crimp stuff toolbox I got with the car so they have no packaging for identification.

I aslo went to radio shack and bought a 22-pin connector with pins. I wanna see if they work, cuase if so it's a $2.50 solution. plus the $27 shipped for the connectors, you are looking at a total of $30.
fwiw, i bought about 100 extra ecu pins if they do work.

I shot a note off to the guy that had the nice page with the COP plate to see if he is still making them (price and availability)... anyone else have a source for a clean COP plate? No, not JB welding nuts or studs on my cover.
Thanks

a sheet of alumin and a 1" hole saw will do it.
drill the holes for the three oem valve cover bolts, drill the 4 spark holes, and then drill 4 holes for the cop flanges.
then get 4 nuts and bolts, get bolts with a very shallow head stick up from underneath plate, and attach with thread locker and nut from above.

I was going to mock up a protoype COP plate and take it to a machine shop to have a run milled for general distribution, but there was not enough interest. only 2 or 3 guys wanted it, would probably need to get like 10+ involved to make it cost effective.

I have access to a CADCAM plasma cutter. If i get the time to do so i'll make up a design to cut them out of flat sheet. I'd probably make them out of mild though and people could paint them whatever they wanted. Aluminum might be an option as well. But like i said, when I get the time.

Regardless, hope to be COP-ped in a week and a half when they get here. $42 for a set of 4 off eBay, quite please (assuming they are right, ha!)

great news.
the contacts I bought work for the toyota connectors and fit onto the cops (.070" contacts tyco PN: 173631). So you're looking at around $27 shipped for PnP connectors, and a dollar or two for the contacts from me. not bad.
if you need 16 pins let me know. i ordered about 100 extra or so.

i think i got enough for 11 harness. two of which are spoken for, mine and y8s of course.
lets see, i bought 296 of them (think i got more), need 96 for my boomslang harnesses, that leaves 200 left over for coil connectors, and i need 32, so 168/16 = 10.5...so enough for 10 yeah.
