It's just missing boring stuff that doesn't really make car go fast. To the left (in picture, right-hand side of car) you would in a stock Miata find PRC valve, evap canister (which has a solenoid valve and a bunch of hoses), coolant overflow tank and ABS (and I think in some model years, windshield washer tank).

I've decided to skip the dyno and just run the 1/4 mile. More accurate, more fun, cheaper, etc. Should I increase boost to 15-16psi and keep my doo doo timing map, or stay at 13psi and try to add some mid range timing in on the street? I think I have plenty of headroom to play w

I would dyno the car first. This is dangerous levels of boost without some knock control.

If he does not get into the 12's in the quarter mile I will be disappointed. Then I will tell him he could have saved 15% or more money by going with MKTurbo and being just as fast.

SonoftheHill is running one of my setups with a slightly larger Chinacharger and he is running something like 13.1 or 13.2 quarter mile runs on a stock 99 engine. He is hoping to hit 12's when he gets some new tires for the rear.

a low calibrated m00stang dyno will read 180-190 when a DJ would show 210-220
So yeah, I stand by my prediction. Going by DJ numbers
200 should get ~98-100
220 should get ~102-104
250 should get ~108+
and so on

*edit:

AND MAYBE YOU TWO SHOULD CATCH UP WITH YOUR CURRENT BACKLOG OF ORDERS BEFORE CONTINUING THESE PLUGS?

lulz

everyone I send your way says they're waiting in line or still haven't heard back

Im making about 200HP at 10-11PSI DJ numbers and ran a 14.4 at 98mph.

Yes i suck at launching 1/4 miles runs.

My bench racer math is pretty accurate

Don't worry, most Miata's suck at quarter mile drag racing. That's why trap speeds, to me, are way more important

I will never catch up and get rid of my backlog. To many on backlog, but not enough to go into it full time. But I do respond to everyone who email's me in a timely fashion.

Really what I am trying to say is I expect a Fab9 manifold and a real Garret to smoke my setup's, and if it does not it sort of makes me sad.

can't really compare unless you put two built engines against each other.
otherwise it's a game of Russian roulette with the rods, not really a test of turbo kits
