jsut go at it with a wrench, it'll break free.

never once JB welded something that I couldn't go back out later and chip away. I'm not a big jb weld fan anymore.

Just removed my oil drain fitting a week ago to install a nicer AN fitting. I removed it with a wrench and it came right out. JB weld is not that strong. I used it more as a sealer for the threads.

The pickup tube is the same thickness as the coolant tube that runs from the water pump to the heater core connection at the firewall.

I'd use a dremel/die grinder with a small cutting wheel or carbide cutting bit to cut the weld away.
