I'm an idiot help me?!

Stay tuned. It's on my "bucket list" and would be cheap and easy enough that i'll probably attempt it after my wedding next year.
I happen to have an ugly twice-totaled 90 MX6 GT Turbo as my daily driver with a motor that runs like a ----------in' BOSS.
And then once done, i'll cry at how much faster it is than my turbo BP Miata. (Not that the MX6 isn't already, but it's FWD, so it doesn't "count.")

Heh, appreciate it, but the car isn't that nice... It "punches above its weight" in pictures. Pretty much perfect mechanically, though.
It's a mess.
It's loud and in charge. About as efficient as an exhaust gets, though!

well that makes no sense. the worst turbo ive ever run on my 1.6L was a t3 turbine powering a t4 60 trim.
i didnt know better as I ordered a 60 trim t3. but got a t3/t4. it was awful, but fun on the highway between 6 and 7K.

Hi Justin!
Too bad about being banned. What was the reason again?
The turbo has a variable nozzle in the hot side housing driven by a vacuum actuator. I took it apart to look for damage and it checks out ok.
Typically diesel turbos are not used in petrol cars because of heat ratings. My take on that is it wont last 150k.... but in our cars 15k is all ready enough. It is not water cooled which may cause durability issues. (For drag / street it should be good as there is more time to dissipate heat?) Fitting it would require a custom inverted low mount manifold and down pipe. The hot side can be clocked easily enough but the cold side is a bit tricky due to the position of the VNT actuator. (I all ready clocked the hot side)
Control strategy for boost/VNT is unknown. The nozzle is set up to close on vacuum which gives better spool at low rpm. I imagine boost could be limited by VNT modulation or external wastegate.
Shipping should be about 50$ I guess based on this web site. Slovenská po
