I have the feeling hes planning on just leaving it in 6th for the entire autocross run.. it would make sense why he wants epic 2k rpm torque.

brain I don't like how it goes from nothing to everything in couple hundred rpms between 3k and 4k. If it does that in 4th(5 speed?) I can expect in 2nd gear to be further back in rpm range, say 4 to 5, 3.5 to 4.5, dunno exact but further back for sure.
Prime RPM range I don't want to have to deal with going from zero to hold on we hit spin out power.

So I take it you don't care about finding out how to go faster then.

No thank you to v8

Nope, because the car is way too fast for my driving skills as it is right now.

My power deliverly is smoother than you think.

no spinning here:

If you're worried about spinning due to power, not sure why you want tiny ***** turbo. that much power that low of rpm is surely going ot be one hell of a setup to manage.

Want over 200wtq at 2k rpm, yet worried about spinning. It just keeps getting better and better. I seriously think he's trolling.

And this one's uncomfortably close.

K03 might work but is still going to be in the 55% or so efficiency range in the top end, and runs to the left of the "island" when spooling up.

I'm thinking what you really need here is a sequential twin turbo setup, possibly run by an ECU that supports torque request based control to get a flat torque curve.

yeah as in going from nothing to all the power later compared to immediately on the throttle.

If the minute I put down my foot down and go WOT I have tq everywhere in the rpm band thats fine.

But If I put my foot down and go wot and have no tq output then couple hundred rpms later I jump 100-200wtq, that I don't want.

So what you're saying is you want a positive displacement pump rather than a centrifugal compressor.

So you're looking for EVERYTHING a PD blower offers, yet refuse to get one?

Why the refusal for a supercharger? It delivers everything you want?

Why bother running a supercharger with all its unnecessarily complicated belts and whatnot when you can get the 2000 rpm torque you desire by just taking one Dodge Viper engine and sawing it in half? Unfortunately this pull starts way the hell up at 1900 rpm so you can't see how much torque it makes off idle. The dyno operator simply had no clue about what part of the power band is really important. And because it has all that low rpm insta-torque, it's a super easy car to drive on tight technical tracks, especially if it has been raining. The complete absence of turbo lag makes traction loss really predictable and easy to handle.

Here we have another clueless dyno operator starting pulls at 2600 rpm. But we can overlook that little defect without missing the main point here: the C6 Z06 has a puny engine and you're right about not wanting a V8. Look how the torque just drops off a cliff up high! This car must fall on its face at 6000 rpm. Perfect example of why you should only be interested in driving at 2000-4000 rpm.
