Default Trade your GT2860 or 71 for my 76?

I only need the compressor housing and CHRA. I'll be keeping my .64 A/R turbine housing with the welded-shut wastegate flapper.

the short version:
Since I sold off all my built motor goodies and want the car to be more of a streeter/daily car, I dont need headroom for 350 rwhp. Or even 300.

I want to see how the 2860 and 2871 perform with the .64 turbine housing on a stock 01 with the VVT working.

Who's up for a trade or a "let me try it out" then trade?

Cmon, I know there are those of you out there who wish they got something bigger.

here's how the 2876 spools in my car with cam retarded 3 degrees:

here is VVT at full 12 degrees retard (worst case scenario):

Stock intake cam advance, say on a 99-00 car, would probably put you fairly close to the first graph--or an adjustable cam gear on the intake would get you exactly there.

takers?

If you ever decide you want the bigger turbine housing I'll trade you your little .64 to hold my pens at work, rather than my current .86.

If you want a random turbine housing to hold pens at work, I have a CT-26 hotside from my old celica alltrac.

Lots.

but pretty light boost. not above about 10 psi and not for a lot of time. the turbo's only been to one track day and an autocross or two. i can check shaft play. it still takes a long time to stop spinning after shutting the car down from idle.

I'm going to have a 2860 for sale here in a few weeks if you want to buy one straight out.

Ditto, mine has about 30k miles on it. Its a little dirty, but nothing some carb clean couldn't take care of. Do you have the compact compressor housing on yours or the full size? The full size will make the "turbo not hit block!" hit the block.

installed:

I'm guessing that's the full size? Turbo not hit nothing on my car. Except that tingly spot in my loins?

I'm using a s4 style manifold. Pretty sure this will not fit in my car.
