I played super jackpot with the automatics, actually went a few rounds. There was a buy back or I wouldn't have made it past the first round. I was one round away from winning $100, the winner took home over $1900 and a Wally. I had a blast with all my friends there anyway.

The winner photo from last week.

Might get my stuff from the machinist this weekend

Decided to give "Ol' smokey" a break and ran the dog truck.
I broke out on an 18.99 dial at 18.989, gave it to my friend Ben in the C5 Z06.
It was fun nonetheless, my Nissan hardbody was actually super popular.
Hopefully pick up my motor parts on Saturday.

Well, I efff'd up and somehow missed the call for Sportsman class. So I had to buy back and race the losers from the 1st elimination round, and... I broke out, dang! However the car is running strong and feels great with the new motor, so I am pleased.
I met Richbobby, probably spelled wrong, and unloaded a bunch of Miata junk on him. Nice to meet you and hang out a bit today man! Hope to see you in March, should be full 1/4 mile by April.

Had a great time, been missing this place. Still haven't turned on the boost solenoid but got the fueling dialed in for medium boost. Seems to be running nice, great to be able to stay in 5th with the new gearing. I made it to the 1/4 finals and had a good light, but I spun and Patrick won.

I had my first perfect light and earned another one of the coveted reaction time stickers. Trip Zip

Heh, I was there running the road course open test day on Wednesday. Was just going over data from the last session with my coach, looked out of the trailer and suddenly I was surrounded by drift cars and could hear drag racing going in the distance. I looked around a bit for a green Miata but didn't see you alas.

Oh well, it would have been nice to see you Ian. I am usually a few lanes over from the East side near the tower. Sounds like you had a fun day too

Congrats on the trip zip!

I had fun at the last NASA event with a tree-simulator doohickey my drag/time-trial friend has in his RV. Hold the button, release at the right moment. I managed a handful of good RTs in a bucketful of attempts. It was all fun and games until he made a sudden, loud imitation of an engine going full bore. I about fell off my seat and dropped the button.

TL,DR: it's gotta be a lot harder with a real dragster

That's how I felt the first time the first time the ran me against a real dragster. I almost fell into the passenger seat and couldn't drive at all. I finally got used to it and now you can point an open header at me so my eyeballs vibrate and I'll still cut a decent light.
Not that I consider my car a real dragster or even racecar for that matter. I get the impression from other racers that a manual transmission is the most difficult. Letting your thumb off the button sounds like a real dragster with a delay box.
Hopefully see you guys out there one of these days.

Had a great time at Sac. The only thing that would have made it better was if Vlad had showed up. No worries man, see you in a few weeks. Annnnddd...

I won!
Had an interesting last round. I was supposed to get the bye because of reaction time. I was in the final before the semi final round. But then someone soiled the right lane, so they made all 3 of us run the left lane and then compare packages. I beat my friend Tom by 11 thousandths of a second. Never won like that before.

You are so consistent it's absolutely nuts. In a manual miata, of all things! Congrats my friend
I was so excited to finally meet up again, but alas my body had other plans. I even put the sticky tires on the mustang to see if I could tree you hahaha

Thank you my friends! I had a great time, just realized that my worst light bedside the red was .081. That car cut a good light on me and was an 11 second Subaru. I remember looking over to the right to see him before I let off, it was a close race. I wondered if you knew him Vlad. I will be back to Sac.
This guy in a new M3 competition series, or something. Was running 11.5's, he was in the final 3 also. He had a hilarious story about trying to get the launch mode to work. He said it took so long that one time he gave up and the thing flashed "preparing to launch" all the way down the track.

Correction, after watching the video that was an Audi not a Subi, not sure what I was thinking. Those all wheel drive cars look alike
