Thanks Newaza! I was lucky to win the first round. It was so hot and I was so sweaty that my hand slipped off the shifter trying to get into 2nd gear. I managed to get it back in, and push my opponent but he was far ahead and just had to let off a little. I will admit that it seems to take a bit of experience to let off before the finish line. The woman in the final left way late, it seemed like we left at the same time, even though she had 4 tenths handicap. She had an .069 light the previous round and it earned her the bye, and yes she was hot as fire. I knew I wasn't catching her so I gave her the stripe and let off. I was just lucky.

Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with how this thing is still gong strong. Years of consistent drag racing, hundreds of passes, well done.
Kinda curious what your timing map looks like, IDK if you shared in this thread before and I'm not about to dig through the whole thing. So if you wanna share, I'd love to see it!

Thanks! I think posting my timing is a bad idea. Pretty much anyone who runs it will have a bad time. It is extreme, and you better have good E85 around. Too many threads where it looks like some "pro tuner" put an E85 map in a car running 91.

Had a great time again, winning is always fun. Spent a lot of time with Roxanne in the red light district, but got out of there before elimination again. Had some fun races, and took out our top gear jammer in the final. Car 773C with the .002 reaction is the Tesla with a delay box, he won a Wally on Memorial Day.

Had another fun Wednesday night, unfortunately I was out on the 2nd round this time. I rotated my tires and was able to hook up again, too many burnouts I guess. Also seemed to get a misfire on my last pass. I think I need to remember to rotate my tires and swap new plugs mid season, kinda having a deja vu moment.
And the winner's photo from last week.

Out on the 2nd round again, oh well. Also looks like I have a broken ring land as my number 4 plug was pretty oily. I am hoping it will last a little longer while I build another motor. Still seems to be running pretty strong though.

One last time before I pull the chimney motor. Had a great time, out on the 3rd round against my friend Patrick in his new orange Hellcat. He finished his nitrous install but we didn't get to race until elimination, so it was off. He beat me by 6 hundredths of a second. We have almost 4 weeks before the next race, so now is the time to rebuild.
I can't complain, I have been beating this motor for nearly 5 years now. I do think it would have continued fine if not for my stupid spark retard event, due to my own retardation.

Hey Ed, I tried to email you a couple times but got no response. I am still shopping for some rods and pistons, I don't care if I have to pay now and get them whenever. I want to build a 2nd motor and rebuild this one too. I think I can get what I need for the rebuild but I prefer to buy from you guys. I will be placing an order soon anyway for a bunch of other motor bits, even if the pistons and rods can't be had.

Ha ha, yep! But that's nothing, check this out. I had to take a few measurements to make sure what I wanted. So I placed my order with the guys at SuperMiata after some emails on the 20th, Wednesday... Yep.
Big thanks to all the folks at SuperMiata and 949 Racing!

Hopefully I can get it all done before racing starts again, but yeah Just dropped the pistons, block and an extra head at the machinist this morning. I suspect Puff the magic dragon might have to race one or two more times before I get everything done. Maybe not.
