what did you change about your launch?

I have been driving around the puddle and backing in to avoid water on my front tires. It has been hooking pretty good, and I have been getting 1.9's launching around 5200. My friend gave me the kill sign for the mustang and I wound that sucker past 6 grand. It hooked.

You don't have to wear that dress tonight...
I think am going to name my car Roxanne next week.
Funny thing is, twice 2 weeks ago I listened to that song on the way to the track and didn't red light.

Interesting night, I won but then there was a dispute about my opponent's red light. I agreed to a rematch and then lost, at least I got to make another pass. Went 123 mph.

How was there ever a dispute when they left a quarter second early?!

Hey man I just race here. Seriously tho, it is unusual for an experienced racer to go red more than a few hundredths in a final round. On one or two occasions I have seen actual video footage of a piece of reflective trash blow past the sensors and turn the red light on while the car was still staged. In hindsight, I should have looked past his reaction time and seen his crap launch. Because he left first he didn't see his red come on and wouldn't have known until he was almost at the 60' mark, so the light didn't affect his launch. They let us make the last pass of the night for free so I figured what the hell, it's always fun!

So I was quicker than the Tesla guys for exactly 1 week, then this

They kicked this guy out after he did it twice, I wonder how many times he can go on a single charge. That is Tesla vs Tesla plaid.

Tesla Plaid is no joke. Cool ride if you can afford the price of admission..

So my opponent last week reviewed some footage of the first final and approached me to give me the first place points and trophy yesterday. So I was the champ last week after all. Not so lucky this week, not sure how my opponent dialed 10.5 without any trouble.

That's cool that he was honest about it! Your car, as always, cracks me up, keep it up!

It just occurred to me, those are stock wheels right? I don't recall any mention of this in the thread, but with those hard launches, do you get any cracking in the spokes? I doubt that Mazda had this application in mind when they designed the wheels, and I am curious to know how they stand up.

Yes, that was a decent gesture for him to hand over the trophy! I'd like to think I would have done the same, but ...

So far so good, but I don't run 200tw tires and aero cornering around the track either. I am not sure it is any different from standing on the brakes. I am pretty sure that these wheels do crack on hard driven track cars.

Had a fun night in spite of my clutch tobacle. I slept out in Point Reyes where my wife was watching a friend's cat, but I didn't sleep well there. Somehow I managed runner up even though I yawning all night.

My opponent from the rematch last month made good on his word.

New clutch holds well, hopefully 1/2 an hour in stopped traffic on the 37 and a couple gentle passes was a sufficient break in

Had another fun night. A couple of close races, one with just an .009 margin of victory on a tied light. Those are my favorite, when I don't know if I won until the light comes on. I took 2nd place.

Found these on fake book.

We need to get you some helper springs on your front shocks to help keep those tires down!

Doh!
And all this time I have been trying to get them off the ground. I must admit steering is kinda vague on throttle tho.

Had a blast even though I went red on the 3rd round, barely .015. The photographer was being given a difficult time by the race track, so hopefully they will reconsider and these won't be the last of these pictures.
