That 600+ rwhp stock motor shop is also claiming the secret sauce is that they swap the engine management and harness to DSM eclipse/Talon and run DSMLink.

I don't really follow why you guys are hating on "BP Performance Specialty" so bad. Seems like they're doing some innovative stuff, and making crazy power on cheap builds. Everything they do is really interesting and impressive to me.
They share a lot of information about the builds, post a ton of dyno numbers, drag times/videos, pictures of exploded blocks, and cracked stock pistons. They're actively defining the limits of stock engine components and when they find those limits they upgrade the part that broke and do it again. I'm just not sure what we're supposed to be so butthurt about?

In all seriousness, the ZM peaked my interest a few years ago for use in a NASA PT or SCCA STL application. It's 1.6l displacement but (apparently) with the VVT and port shapes of the later head. Sort of a neat frankenstein. Obviously garbage for street FI builds, but it (potentially) has its place.

Either way it doesn't make me regret having the motor built and scrapping the MSM 6spd idea.
