Thanks a ton to Steph for helping me with my boost addiction. Big props to Tim for welding this up for me over there. Also like to give a shout out to Splitime, Cjernigan and Y8s for their help as well in the process.
I have some days I need to burn up, so hopefully I'll have this on soon, gotta fire up the kerosene heater!

Cant wait to see the results.

Still working on it I think. This one is Scott's creation.

The above design is Brains own thought process and pieces. They finished the fabwork and welded it up for him.
It isnt one of the pieces they've been working on and will be testing.

like everyone said, I came up with this design and BEGi was kinda enough to do they hard work for me. I have a 1.6L so the fuel bungs are intergrated into the IM, so I cut off the stock runners and had them weld it up to the stock piece.
We are we gonna get the plans for this so we can get them made ourselves? I know of a guy locally who can weld his *** off.

uncertain if BEGi wants to replicate these for the 1.6L or not....let's see what Steph has to say. I already know a few people that want a duplicate, or at least a IM for a 1.6L in general.
Dude, that is $$money$$. The guys at HMT would love that ****!
Scott, the cylinder, what was it originally?
For the mani that Stiches linked... how much money is in material there? I assume it's aluminum, but how much does the metal itself cost?

The stock plenum is 3" OD...it's probably 2.5" ID, it's not very large. I'll try to take a shot of the inside, but the opposite wall from #3 and #4 gets very tight. The reason I really wanted to do an IM manifold is because it's very apparent that there's a major restriction when trying to breach 200rwtq after 5K. If I run 12psi my torque is flat from 4K to 6.5K, if I run 14psi only flat from 4K to 5.5K, where it drops off. You see it on almost every dyno, and don't see it on ones with better flowing IMs.
I chose to go 4" OD, should be 3.87 ID. When I do that math that's close to 1.5X the displacement of the motor, and what the "rule of thumb" is for sizing a turbo manifold. That and shorter runners; I only have about 5" worth of runner now.
There's a few things I would probably change, like maybe not bother with the 45* bends and use a shallow domed end cap instead of the hemisphere, but I'm still expecting a 10-15% power increase above 5K
The manifold Stitches linked is BEGi's concept for their new manifolds...see the BEGi manifold thread or their website. Your new NB can have one soon

Looks cool, nice welds and fab work. Good job Scott on the idea. I hope it works great! I'll keep my fingers crossed, seems relatively simple to reproduce if it does work out.
