The "my threads" button dissapears when scrolling up about 75% of the time. This happens on multiple devices. |
I see the same thing, but I'd say it's more like 100% of the time when scrolling up. Possible this is intended?

make your browser wider. The code adds a css class to hide the menu items that will collide with the search bar on the right.

it looks like in that browser the code isn't calculating the top position correctly.
|
Today it is scrolling far more naturally. Scroll down it appears, scroll up it disappears. I am wondering if there was some rogue ad running this weekend? The performance is much smoother.
|
It's on my phone running the desktop version.
it's not a width issue because it loads fine occasionally. It also happens on my tablet. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...db43f38df3.png |
It's something in the vbulletin_fixed_header.js code. On any sort of resize/scroll event, it looks at the width of the list items, and the width of the search bar, and tries to resize to make sure everything fits nicely. It just might not be 100% compatible in some browsers -- as it looks to recalculate constantly.

Agreed, this is a good improvement.

@Robb M. Can we do something about links not reforming as the page title? They used to.
For example, if I paste this url: New Page 1 it used to reformat into this: The Official Ninja Webpage: REAL Ultimate Power!!!! Well crap, this one worked, sort of. Seems to be inconsistent. |
|
there, like that.
that should format into: Sweden's 'man-free' feminist music festival is found guilty of discrimination by authorities | Daily Mail Online |
I'll ping tech when they get in (they're all in LA). Something must be broken.

@Braineack Can you try posting an instagram URL?
|
|
yeah those are br0ke too.
|
might be my privacy settings? i see yours is working. I was linking from my own which is a private account.
|
@Robb M. Another day, another MT.net issue :hatecat:. No formatting on the site anywhere as far as I can tell. Issue persisting with Firefox, chrome, and internet exploder. Mobile site seems fine, but desktop version on my phone shows the same issues.

I'm getting the same thing. Cleared cache, cookies, etc. No difference. Same on exploder and chrome.

CSS is loading here, though I use a Mac :ducks:
|
Why TF did 'lazy loading' get re-enabled by default? Holy Chthulu, don't you people listen to anything? That is *not* a feature that anyone here wants. #fuckfuzzyimages
|
I'm not sure why the addition of a feature to allow disabling them lead to it being re-enabled globally. I saw a lot of pointed fingers when I asked, but no common direction among them :magna:
|
Dammit. Not again.

|
This dumb fucking shit again?
|
This is like reoccurring cancer....
|
You can now turn it off in your userCP. Somebody turned it back on again when adding the option to turn it off; :asshole:
|
I will paypal you $20 to disable the following by default:
1) Infinite scroll 2) Related threads 3) lazy load But leave the option for a user to turn them on, rename them: 1) Stupid shit 2) More stupid shit 3) Even more stupid shit |
I will see what I can do. Might need more than $20 to keep me going until I get another paying gig though.

Does IB literally test code on production servers? Can you guys hire a dedicated tester and follow simple development standards?
you broke more shit. paste test into a quote block: =start=startTo combat a surge in violent crime, the Los Angeles Police Department doubled the size of its elite Metropolitan Division in 2015, creating special units to swarm crime hot spots. =start=start Metro officers in unmarked, dark-gray SUVs began pulling over drivers to search cars for guns or drugs. By 2018, the number stopped by Metro was nearly 14 times greater than before the expansion. =start=start The effectiveness of the strategy is hard to assess: Crime continued to rise for several years before dipping in 2018. =start=start But it has caused a shift that some consider alarming: Metro officers stop African American drivers at a rate more than five times their share of the city’s population, according to a Times analysis. |
|
what's your point joe? I'm getting this rubbish now when I paste text:
=start=startIn an area east of McLaughlin’s house, stretching from South Van Ness Avenue to Denker Avenue, 41% of residents are black, while 81% of the more than 2,000 drivers stopped by Metro officers since 2015 were black, The Times’ analysis found. =start=start Nearby in the Exposition Park neighborhood, a 39-year-old youth counselor said he had been pulled over by the LAPD three times in the previous month while driving home from Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Twice, the officers were in unmarked SUVs. =start=start In one encounter, officers in a gray, unmarked SUV began following him near a liquor store at West 39th Street and South Western Avenue, said the youth counselor, who did not want his name used because he fears police harassment. I will paypal you $20 to disable the following by default: 1) Infinite scroll 2) Related threads 3) lazy load But leave the option for a user to turn them on, rename them: 1) Stupid shit 2) More stupid shit 3) Even more stupid shit Thanks to new laws In CA, PDs and SOs will be forced to document statistics regarding percieved race prior to stops and determined race after stops... Even if the windows on the vehicle are too tinted to make a determination, cops will be forced to check a box stating what they “thought” the person was prior to the stop.. This ridiculous data will be used to “police” discrimination practices among the police. That way media and politicians can use the data to put up phony reports like this one (below). =start=startLets ignore the fact that the black community (nation wide) commits a disproportionate amount of crime (over half of all murders - 54% despite being only 13% of the population). i dunno why it's injecting "=start=start" all over the place. Seems like it happens most often on sources with hard returns? A white supremacist pleaded guilty Wednesday to killing a black man with a sword as part of a racist plot that prosecutors described as a hate crime. James Jackson admitted to fatally stabbing 66-year-old Timothy Caughman in 2017 after stalking a number of black men in New York City. Jackson, who is white, told police he traveled from Baltimore to carry out the attack because New York is the media capital of the world. He also said the slaying had been practice for further assaults on black people. Jackson had been scheduled to stand trial Wednesday. A judge had ruled that jurors would hear his detailed confession. He faces life in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 13 for his plea to murder charges. I cant seem to always replicate it, but getting it all morning now. Where did you copy that text from that has the start start in it?

here's the sources that are injecting it:
https://catsoncatnip.co/blogs/cats/c...8spdWLZuCNYur8 https://catsoncatnip.co/blogs/cats/c...ofvGjZrsshzAmg https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/...2xUV0R0xQr_rTU |
that seems to be in the source. If you copy it from that site, paste it into the editor and then go to source mode, the start start is there.

oh and I lost all the text here after I edited the post to add the screen shot. lol.

Oh and copy pasting images into the editor is broken too. This is embarrassing. If IB had any actual paying customers they would be long gone. If I may ask, are the majority of your people writing code not located in a native english speaking country? AND, adding images after text deletes all of the text. What kind of shit is that? https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...cbb9d2e032.png |
