These aren't just any 1.6 owners... these are the type of 1.6 owners who cut their springs because they can't afford racelands.

Losers like you are the reason why I want to kill myself. I'm so ashamed to be even be classed in the same motor size category as you. I'm just gonna change my sig and photoshop my coil pack to the other side.

This is why I never leave my pathetic island.

Come on guys, stop going off topic into the 1.6 1.8 debate, I'm sure it has been done a million times in every other thread..

This thread is polling interest in the 1.6 mani at the first post. I'm not a poor man in a 1.6 it's just the car I bought as my first MX5 and I want to upgrade things and turbo it, I'm sure plenty others are like me.

Look if the 1.6 mani is a success and does not crack then I will be looking at the 1.8 for my next patterns, which I'm sure will please most owners on MT

why don't you start with the 1.8

I'm sure you'll get more interest and less hate.

Mainly because I'm 99% done on the 1.6... and I own a 1.6 once this is all done and proven I might sell and buy the 1.8 to do the same.

gotcha.

well the bad thing is that most US 1.6 owners are super duper cheap. like so cheap they can't even justify 300 on a brand new manifold. Not even 250. Most can barely shell out 200 and even then consider it for ever.

So unless you guys got a ton of decent 1.6 owners in Europe I don't see this idea taking off any time soon.

We do have plenty owners in the UK, and it's not looked upon as the poor mans MX5 either. To be honest the 1.6 seem very popular due to a few race series we have over here.
