Looks nothing like an S2000. I wouldn’t in a million years mistake it for an S2000. Ever.

It’s a black roadster. S2000!!!!!1100111

There are probably 10 different cars being suggested. That means it doesn’t look like any of them. It just has some modern design cues that nearly all production cars share.

There are industry wide design trends (headlights, taillights, mirrors. lighting techniques). People on Jalopnik don’t seem to understand that. These threads turn into “LOOKS LIKE XXX” rat races. It’s so stupid.

Major boner kill.
The drivetrain sounds pretty exciting though.

It looks like what happens when you leave a DB7 and an S2k alone in a garage with some tequila-and-roofie shooters.

Not sure what's wrong with that, per se.

The rump profile is S2000 ish, as are the wheels, but that's it. Looks like an amalgamation of a bunch of different cars as stated before.

Why would anyone complain about a factory turbocharged Miata, ugly or not? I bet it looks pretty damn good in person.

Nope. I see strong hints of DB7 in the nose, and S2K in the tail.

^ This.

If they're serious about 240 HP in factory trim, I can't see much to complain about there. It's not as though they can do any worse in the styling department than Mazda did with the NC.

I can't wait for us to reverse engineer that drivetrain and make it better for the Mazda version.

Car looks great.

Regarding the Fiata, I'm calling now that there's absolutely no way it'll be offered with 240 hp. Nope.
