Turbo Miata vs Mustang GT?
I didn't read this whole thread cause I know from experience. You are running 8psi on a 1.6 liter with the same turbo as I run on my 1.8. If your clutch is stock, you will lose. If your at the track and your time slip doesn't have at least a 2.02 60', you will lose. I raced my friend's '93 mustang that has a 306 with trick flow top end. He can't drive. I was running 12psi (roughly 210whp dyno proven on my car) my car weighs 2350 with me sitting in it. I launched like a ***** so my clutch wouldn't slip (cause it's still stock). The center of his front wheel was inline with my front bumper when we crossed the line. Meaning he beat me by 1-2 tenths of a second. Don't run slicks or drag radials, run a good street tire. The '95 mustang if I am mistaken is heavier than a fox body, but still, 4psi less, with less power than me? If I have to place my bet, I'm not sure who I'd put it on. Moral of the story, don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

The fox body mustang is actually what set the time standard that 100lbs= 1/10 of a second in the quarter mile. So you're telling me that .6-.7 seconds + a good driver is going to loose to an 8psi 1.6 liter? Doubtful. I'm not trying to be a ****** *******, I'm just trying to say, if this dude is planning on wagering any money, maybe he should think twice. There was too many a time when I thought my car was fast ****, and I got beaten and came to reality. Before I get any beef with anybody, lets see what hapens. If he blows that shitstain's doors in, then tell me you told me so. If he gets beat by a tenth of a second, he still got beat. The big question, and the question that determines what'll happen is this: What clutch is he running?

Aside from that, this guys signature is about as sesame street as his name. I.E. IT BLOWS. I made 210whp at 12psi on a MS-1 in parallel with stock exhaust. My timing sucked, but you can't tell me he'll make as much power as me on a 1.6 liter at 8psi with the same turbo. No way in HELL.
iono all im saying is i did it for 1200 bucks its quite possible. Only time and racing will tell though. As rule of thumb i nvr wager more than i can afford to loose so either way he will have a good time and win some cash or have a decent race and loose some cash.

If this is true, than you win. I doubt that runs a low 16 sec though. Best I ran with my car stock was a 16.09. if a 5.0 in 1995 only runs 16's than that is REALLY pathetic. A Dodge Neon 2 door 5 speed with an air intake and a FART can should be able to beat that.
My biggest concern is the fact that the Miata still has an early diff. Chances of it failing, although not guarranteed, is making the race risky. The fastest I went with my first 1.6 liter car in the 60' was a 1.9 on radials. I broke 2 rearends!
Cookie Monster, get an updated diff, run slicks, profit. 13.30's!?!?!?!?
You can borrow these from me so you can cut a 1.6 60ft lol

trust me there too heavy
