Are you racing 1/8th or a quarter?
1/8th he wins 1/4 you win. If he has gears, exhaust with x-pipe or h-pipe, intake, 5-speed. If he can drive, he will win the 1/8th mabe quarter.

details and combo are everything on this car. I had a mild perfect combo 5.0 that would spank almost anything from a stop. . My friends spent $1000's and I just killed them. But highway they would JUST FLY BYE ME.

These cars have mega potential.

But one one wronge cam, or gears, they can SUCK!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miatas are extremely hard to launch with boost. Either you have too much power and burn, or lose boost and have a turd on your hands.

From the sound of this mustang you'll smoke his ***. I raced a auto vert fox a few years ago in my v6 camaro and smoked his *** and my car ran mid 15s. I wouldn't worry about tires too much, just get a good lauch on street tires and turn it up to 12psi or so and you've got yourself 13s to his maybe 15. In for video as well

one idea for ya that this mustang owner may not think about............when it comes race time only run with a 1/4 tank, hopefully the ricer your racing will have a full tank!

 

Yeah, I'm going to have a light tank. I'm going to race him this Friday 1-8-10. The megasquirt is working good, boosting 7 right now. My clutch is not the stocker, I justfound out today by talking to my friend that put it in when he owned the car. It's an exedy clutch from Mike's Place Miata shop. Rated for 210ft/lbs it seems.

I slaughtered a gutted civic last night with "titanium valve springs and valves, mid cam, intake, exhaust" He said he ran 15.1 at firebird raceway. If that's true then I'm running low 12's ROFL!!!

 

Was the Civic a SOHC? (D16) They can do a 15.1, this Mustangs going to the glue factory.
