was this ever answered? Since you offer them without the middle, maybe the middle is not so important

Does it make a difference, in efficiency, if they are mounted from the bottom or top?

We didn't answer it, and from here on forward, the kit will only be available as three pieces. We originally offered the sides-only option for those who wanted to keep the costs down a bit, but the full set is optimized to work together, and achieves the ideal opening size.

Working out the kinks for full production of these right now, they should be available through Good-Win Racing by the end of the month
(And I know they are very capable of shipping to the UK)

can we make a set that goes atop of our fenders? to release the vortex of air the wheels create.

Yesterday I installed a set of hood louvers in Erik's track car. This time I used the rubber trim (which is included in everyone's kits) to clean up the edge.

The louvers don't work in my rather unique hood situation, but of course I had to represent - made a custom louver piece for my turbo heat chimney:

Looks great can't wait. Is Erik in touch with blackbirds fab? Can't seem to get a website or fb response.

On topic I can't wait any longer Ryan. Lol

Looks way good on the NB hood. I was just going to ask about wind noise on the front plates until I realized there isn't a chance in hell I could hear it over my exhaust.

Have you tried welding them in to the hood to clean up the look a little? Not that the rivets look bad, but I'm just trying to think of a more streamline mounting method, be it welding or industrial strength epoxy.

Erik and I are both in touch with Moti often, but I can't speak for troubles reaching him. I've nagged him for years about a better website. Your best bet is directly emailing him: moti@blackbirdfabworx.com

On topic, the group buy batch is boxed and UPS is picking these up first thing in the morning!

Thank you again to everyone in the group buy and to everyone else interested in these, stay tuned we'll have them available full time soon!

Have not tried it myself. It could be done but the hood is quite thin, only something a very good TIG welder should try to tackle.

Just looked through the instructions/pictures. I know the hood is still plenty strong with half the width of the bracing removed, but I wonder how much cooling would be sacrificed if the side vents were placed ~1" further to the outside so that you have to trim even less of the bracing?

The underbracing isn't the issue. Look at an NB hood and you'll see that it changes angles about 9" in from the sides. The louvers can bend to a certain point, but they can't become pretzels and conform to bending on three axis. As the positioning is, they come just to the edge of where the hood changes angle.

Mine arrived yesterday. Thanks for the quick work!

Now I just need to come up with some time to install them...

I've just looked at the goodwin site and their faqs say this:

"Do you ship International?
No. We only ship to USA and Canada. Please do NOT email us about shipping to any other location. We also do not ship to Puerto Rico or Guam."

Will you be offering these parts through Trackspeed too?

First I've heard of this, my fault for assuming they shipped internationally. One way or another, we can get a set to you. I'll send you a PM when I've got more info.

Should I be worried about anything getting wet in the engine bay? Such as the alternator? The car is always Parked outside, and right now is the daily untill my other car is fixed.
