I still find it amusing that one of the most frequently-used signals in the whole plant is a high-definition (1080i) black screen.

 

Has anyone else noticed the radar hole in the lower grille of the new Accords?

I think it looks terrible. Every time I see the front end of a new Accord, my eye is immediately drawn to that spot, and I imagine a team of engineers deciding that the very best solution was to just cut a hole in one side of a regularly-patterned grille. They didn't even bother to mimic the pattern in order to hide or minimize it a bit.

See, I don't have a problem with that. It has a purpose, and the form is entirely subservient to the function.

But the Accord is not a military plane. There's absolutely no reason the designers couldn't have figured out some way to minimize or hide the radar in the grille.
