Glad to see your opinion on this. My understanding is that it was a pro-Kurdish peace rally (and we know how the Turkish gov't feels about the Kurds) which would back up your assertion on being gov't sponsored.

Looked to me like a small leak of some kind of fuel (gas, oil, ??) was ignited from that backfire. Seems like it would have had to be fairly vaporous to do so. IDK why he thought driving away would put it out. Looks like it didn't stop until he shut off the engine.
