I spent some time reading through their literature, and while they initially tested with a Metro engine, they decided to ditch it and start from scratch. The new engine is still a 1L 3 cyl SOHC, but with a bespoke aluminum block and head, new crank, cam, pistons, rods, valvetrain, etc. You can still see some influence of the Metro in it, but it's clearly a new engine, built on new castings:

They also lack somewhat in the durability department, especially when asked to push a vehicle which weights 3-4x as much as a bike.

Yup.
Sure as God hates ****, the main burner for the oven sits directly atop the tupperware-storage drawer, with nothing at all in between. And, thus, the flame is present any time the burner is lit, regardless of whether the dial is in the "BROIL" position or not.
What an annoying design.

I agree with everything you said regarding motorcycle engines except durability.
High strung motorcycle engines are pretty reliable (if well cared for). I sold my R6 with 35k miles on it after 3 years, still didn't need a valve lash adjustment or showing low compression or anything.
And this was a bike that had it's 15k red line constantly abused on the street and track.

Transmissions are usually pretty strong. You got a wet clutch which wont burn, As far as the rear its also fine. You dont need a new transmission. You just gotta use a sprocket on the rear wheel just like the Trex.

When cooking dinner in a Manhattan-sized apartment, "doing the dishes" is not a discrete task performed long after the conclusion of the meal. It's a continuous process performed in real-time.
Used the broiler (intentionally) today to brown the **** out of some honey-and-cornmeal-glazed tofu, which then went into the rest of the stir-fry.
I really need to learn to make my own orange glaze, but even with the sauce coming out of a bottle, it was ******* delicious. (The fried rice was 100% from scratch.)
Couple this with the fact that, for what I expect are obvious reasons, modern production-grade trikes utilize FWD, this also fails to address the need for a differential.

Hearing that song, in whatever form, always takes me back to one particular night in my childhood, up late at night in a little apartment on Isleta Marina (a small island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico), listening to the only radio station I could receive on the cheap tabletop Sony radio, back when that song was new and in Top 40 rotation, when I first heard it.
In this moment, I can feel the coarse texture of the bedsheets. The oppressive heat of winter. The aroma of rotting fish and diesel fuel. The bamboo furniture, and the cold grip of a pair of ancient binoculars. I can smell the bilge-water in the belowdecks of the vessel Gladys II where I labored, and taste the Orange Tang in the galley.

Seriously, I just made a decision to stop giving a **** and just throw **** at a pan until something worked.
(I am drunk as hell right now, I can barely stand up. This is unusual for me)
