In this part of Florida, we call that "afternoon" in the summertime.

 

He ain't lyin. Every day, somewhere around lunchtime, for 5-10 minutes. Not enough to cool anything off, just enough to provide sufficient water to turn the town into one giant sauna for the rest of the afternoon.

But to be fair, you wind up with far fewer dicks in your ***, so all things considered, it's kind of a toss-up.

The thing about the Phoenix heat is that if you are just going from your car to work, or back again (to a covered spot) it's not that bad. If you are outside all day, well then son, that's why you want to go to college. Walking through a rain storm for a few minutes (with an umbrella even) sucks for the next couple hours. Though I do miss proper fall.

 

Speaking of rain storms, this little pocket of red contained a tornado. The blue dot is my house.
