Eyesight is a weird thing.

Over the past many years, my prescription has gone down considerably. Was -4.5 a decade ago, now -3. At this rate, I'll hit perfect 20/20 just about the time I get glaucoma.

Sadly, at the same time, I've lost the ability to read the small print on surface-mount components simply by taking off my glasses and practically pressing them against my cornea. I used to be the one guy in the lab who could read the value of 1206 resistors without the microscope.
