There's no especially amazing musical talent in the below. The genius, in my opinion, is in the arrangement and composition between the two bands.

Also, I have never seen that many Shure SM-7 mics on a single music performance (two), and I've been doing this for nearly 25 years now. The SM-7, for those who aren't in the biz, is basically the Chevy Camaro of microphones. They built a lot of them, to wildly varying standards of quality, they were quite popular in the 80s, had a bit of bottom-end performance but nothing up high, and there remain a small but devout following who are convinced that they are the best thing ever.

Not usually something I would get into, but I really enjoyed that.

Heh.

To be honest, I hadn't even noticed that part at first. I was more amused by the incredibly specific and detailed nature of the directions, such as "Take the stairs."

Like, some human had to actually research that, and enter information into the database indicating that there was a staircase in between the Ferry dock and Riverfront Trail. Heck, the path-generating algorithm itself probably has to have a data field specific to stairs.

But yeah, the altitude thing is interesting. I wonder what glitch causes that?

EDIT: Ah, it's the total, cumulative elevation change. So if you walk up 100 feet, and then down 100 feet, and then up 100 feet again, and then down 100 feet again, that's +200 and -200.

EDIT II: I feel as though there ought to be a little note somewhere to the effect of "note: these instructions direct you to walk across the Mojave Desert, which will likely cause you to die."

Title text: Apparently Google assumes you're traveling during the ferry's normal operating hours. We lost two hours circling that damn lake (to say nothing of the Straw Man).

^ I honestly did not know that a cat can be used as a Theramin.

On a totally unrelated note, here is a man sitting in a chair for three hours, while not saying any prime numbers.

This is the cheapest I could find one.

Mine is a larger and stretched over an outer wood frame, but it was more expensive than what I'd put in the garage.
