Every time I think the world is doing ok, I see something like this and my hopes are dashed. I took this picture a little while ago when I went up to drop off some recycling. I was not aware that they were making sofas out of cardboard.

^ Sadly, that's actually a real thing that someone did to a car.

Quite reasonably, I think, I assumed this to be a joke. Nope. Commercially published dino-erotica fiction is a thing which exists.

^ I chuckled.

Apparently, doing Sea Shanties has become a popular thing recently amongst the TicTok crowd, when they're not busy planking*. Some of them are... pretty good. Like, I put on the good headphones** to listen kinda good.

Of course, there is dubstep-remix of same. Because why wouldn't there be? Some of which, shockingly, is pretty decent:

And then remixes of both the original and dubstep versions, which obviously feature a moshing cat, because that's the one thing which humanity was lacking all this time:

And, well... This was inevitable:

* = Yes, I know that's like sooooooo 2019. I lag a bit on youth-culture.

** = Ok, so I don't actually own any bad headphones, but in my den / studio, there are the everyday cans, and then there are the Sony MDR-7506s. Why do I have two distinct sets of headphones in the den? I honestly, literally have no idea. It's a habit that formed years ago, not long after I decided that Koss Pro-4aa was a relic of the past that I needed to leave behind, and was doing some soul searching.

I made an epic battles/sea shanties/pirate beer swilling songs playlist last Feb.

if you need to get pumped for any minute task, just pop this on and you'll have the power of 1000 fire-breathing dragons.
