The whole speech was about our micro development initiatives in Africa, Asia and South America - primarily African countries.
After leaving the show (Water Walk), I accepted a position as the Director of Project Development at IDEA Universal, a rather active, intrepid NGO working in this field.
IDEA Universal was a part of the show for about 2 years, working as a solution partner behind the scenes.
My speech started with "Live Aid" and its scope back in 1985, and made reference to the fact that the name was a word play on "Band Aid".
They just applied a $150 million band aid on a bleeding wound in Africa back then.
I then talked about dependency on aid, the feelgood effect of aid pallets on TV in the western world vs sustainable development efforts.
That's when I introduced our concept of a "Smart Village".
This concept works. We have completed 102 smart village projects so far. Really.
So, that is what my whole speech was about.
Also, we have some very "interesting" projects in the pipeline.
Also also, on the personal front, turns out I was on a rather prominent brand's radar lately. Had an interesting meeting last week, and looks like I will be pretty busy in the near future.
My very real signature on a hefty NDA sorta prohibits me to divulge more on this subject.
