To is a versatile preposition. A few of its many definitions are (1) toward, (2) reaching as far as, and (3) until.1 Too is an adverb meaning (1) additionally, (2) excessively, (3) very, or (4) extremely.2 Whenever you’re in doubt about whether to use to or too, see if any of those synonyms of too (i.e., additionally, extremely, etc.) would work in its place. If none fits, then to is probably the word you’re looking for.
According to the above, I used the correct "too" as I could have said something like "I fixed it, just for you, and FRT_Fun b/c he gets butthurt over stuff like as well."
No?

My comment was in reference to your incorrect usage of "your" in place of "you're." That was all.

Sorry, the 13th chromosome was removed with my gallbladder in 2005.

When someone makes the mistake once or twice a month no big deal. But you seriously had 4 or 5 consecutive posts using it wrong. Some posts even had multiple words (your/their/too) that were used wrong. And if I remember correctly it was in a thread you were trying to argue something. If you make an argument with incorrect grammar it really nulls anything you say.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. One of the DSM boards I'm a regular on has a 600+ post thread about all the silly/ stupid/ embarrassing/ uncool/ criminal stuff he's done to people over the years.

One of my favorites is the time where he insisted that his main horse power secret was 'polishing' used bearings with a dirty rag and WD40 and putting them back in a motor.

Or the time he pitched an internet hissy fit because somebody (showing a horrible lack of sportsmanship!) protested his violently illegal car at a NOPI drag race event in ~06, and he was stripped of a trophy. I mean, he's David Bushur! He should be allowed to run a blatantly illegal car and take trophies away from the guys who run the series for the whole season for points and championships!

Or the half dozen 'sponsorships' he's reneged on after the sponsoree poured several thousand dollars (one guy more than $20k) though his shop, and got nothing in return.

Or the many thousands of dollars in junk parts he's sold over the years, and refuses to stand behind.

Buschur treats his customers like they owe him something for the opportunity to do business with him, and like they're too stupid to do anything that they pay him for on their own. He surrounds himself with sycophants, and actually believes the ---- they tell him. He is absolutely infuriated by anyone questioning or asking for clarification on his intentionally vague descriptions and explanations.

In short, he sucks like few other things have sucked before. I'm glad your buddy has had good experiences with him, though.

Likewise, some products made in China are of high quality and yield good performance, while other products made in China are of low quality and perform badly. As a broad generalization, many people seem to think that all products made in China are of poor quality, and I am merely stating that this is not universally true.

Whether said products are copies of something else is immaterial with regard to how well they perform in a given application.

Remember in Back to the Future when Doc said "No wonder this part failed- it says Made in Japan!" At one time, the Japanese had a reputation for building derivative junk. But they evolved out of that, and by the 1980s had established a reputation for building dependable, high-quality products.

China is in the same position today that Japan was in the 1960s. In 20 or 30 years' time, Made in China will universally denote a product of superior quality, and we'll all be complaining about the crappy knockoff products coming out of some other country.
Japan always built and designed their own stuff for the most part. China is making boatloads of Cheesball copies of quality products steeling as much R&D, product design, and engineering as possible right down to the Decals that indicate the products are something that they are not. Then through the powers of slave labor and a manipulated monetary system sell those products at ridiculously low prices.

When I can go to Harbor freight and buy a heavy steel manufactured product that was manufactured and then shipped from china turn around and take it directly to a scrap metal recycling yard sell it and make money off it there is a pretty good indication there is something going on besides free market.

This is nothing like what happened with Japan in the 60’s through the 80’s.

1HP / CI with a turbocharger and fuel injection.

How is it even physically possible to achieve such a low specific output?

I'm having a hard time accepting the 30 MPG claim on that Toyota. Was it customary for that measurement to be taken while in free-fall from low earth orbit in 1958?

Crap turbo, crap heads, crap cam, crap gas, crap fuel injection.

I wonder if it has a waste-gate or if its just relying on restriction to control boost

And it's taken them (US manufactures) until now to start using turbos again on a large scale.*

*Other then K cars and performance oriented vehicles I mean.

I would make a comment about the highlights, but I wore baggy shorts that went down way past my knees when I was that age. I must have looked like a pasty cholo.
