That's not an issue for me. 29" underneath, which is plenty of room for a creeper. Sure, dropping a tranny might be problematic, but it gets all 4 wheels off the ground to do suspension, brakes, rotations, etc. 90% of the time, that's what I'm doing.

You can also drive the car up on ramps and put blocks underneath before lifting, so that you have even more room if you need it. It would be a pain, but it's doable.

Weight is over 800#, so you'd better have a way to unload it. I would have it delivered to work, and then take it off the pallet to take it home.

my neighbor had one similar. while you cant really do clutch jobs or exhaust work, it's really convenient for everything else. He built a wooden ramp so it was "sunken" and parked his vette over it.

Wife told me to buy it, but I can't bring myself to spend that much money on what is essentially a fancy jack and ramps.

Ah, so it's useless for the kinds of work that you most need a lift for.

That's the problem with nearly every kind of lift that isn't a conventional two-post lift. Either it's great for anything that doesn't require you to remove the wheels (4 post or similar) in which case you need to jack up the car with a standard hydraulic jack mounted to the fancy, expensive lift or it's pretty much useless for everything except brake and suspension work (eg, scissors lifts), in which case a cheap HF floor jack and a set of cheap HF jackstands would have sufficed just as well.

The gizmo that Darren posted is about the first one I've seen that defies this rule, assuming it's safe to operate without the cross-braces. (The website suggests that they need to be there, in which case it's no better than the one Scott posted.)

This is a pretty nice looking lift for low ceilings. It's somewhat portable.

Couldn't take more than 11 seconds of it. What happens at the end?

I may have to bite the bullet and get the garage floor redone. Then I can get a 2 post. After spending 3 grand on the Jeep, getting shafted on taxes this year and another 3 grand on a new furnace, funds are disappearing quickly. What's another 3-4 thousand for a new lift?

In anticipation of Rangers' Opening Day against the White Sox tomorrow, I wanted to look up the great ***-beating that Nolan Ryan put on Robin Ventura (new White Sox manager) many years ago. Google had other priorities...
