Depends on the drill instructors. I've heard some let the new Marines do impressions of them and funny stuff like that. That didn't happen in my brothers plt, the Sr DI talked to them, bought them pizza and gave them advice about life in the Marines (not BS PC stuff). I think they got to do some fun & funny things too though.

I've been going off what my bro told me and what I've read, I realize that every platoon is a little different though. When did you go? I heard it changed a bit in the last two years or so.

One tip: Don't wear military shirts or USMC stuff to boot camp. They consider it "their" marine core until you graduate. White t shirt, jeans, regular shoes, and maybe a day or 2 worth of stuff. Dunno how it is now, but you'll never see your personal stuff until you're done. But, you'll need a few things for going to tech school and you're human again.

Doesn't work that way at PI. Bring a razor and tooth brush so you can shave before you leave the hotel. That's it. Maybe a coconut. You'll get 10days boot leave before needing anything else.
