Oh, it does, I know the guy.

Really? His name is Junior haha you probably do.
I’m doing his clutch, then updating his setup from high 300s to lo 400s whp. |
I met him once or twice, I remembered that his car was also white and has that plate frame. We chatted about e85, I was thinking about the track when I filled up with petrol today (until they get the Berkeley pump working again)

I'm pretty sure you have, he's from your area and usually goes to your track.
He tracks it a LOT. young guy, definitely no beard. Those wheels are terrible, slow him down like crazy and make the car tramline and pull all over the place. Worst mod ever |
Not a fan of the wheels or fender flares personally, but that's a nice looking sti.
|
Welp its gonna be a lot faster. New clutch, ELH, EWG, much bigger TMIC, bigger turbo, and stronger pump went in on Sat.
I'll be re-tuning it this week. |
|
How reliable are the used 3.6R Legacy’s? I’m tempted to look at a local 2011 with about 70k miles on it.

A+, would rock

Buy my 135 and see what you can do with one of the stage 2 turbos and E85.
I am sure you will like it. |
Nice! I've read the N54s have forged rods from the factory and the N55s don't. From what I gather the stock N54 rods are good for north of 550wtq, hence the fanbois calling it the German 2JZ.

Unrelated but this is the only thread on Mt.net I ever post in.
I really want a 2019 ND but something about paying 36k for a Miata feels wrong. (RF with brembos package) |
me and @@sonofthehill had a ton of fun at the drag strip today.
my OE STi spec exedy clutch absolutely hated life and I had to set LC real low to actually allow it to hoold lol, but here are my results: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...8bd076bcde.jpg Left slip I actually caught a really good launch, but then it slipped so the trap is lower. SOTH's miata is also just as fast and impressive as always, clicking off I think low 12's at 119? Overall a ton of fun, really happy with the trip overall. |
Had a blast with you guys, your car is very impressive. Some pretty fast cars out there. Great to see you and meet your son.

I'm about to totally ruin this thread.
What cute-ute? Some background: Girlfriend just started her work from home job. I go into the office 2-3 days per week. Such that the 135 has seen about 2100 miles in town for daily use in the last 9 months. I have some lingering debt from the divorce/layoffs/moves/new house, that I would like to hammer out. So I'm thinking sell both the BMW and the girlfriends '15 Fit (yes I know it makes more sense to keep it, but if we are going to have one car, it needs to have a better stereo and a bit more room for the dogs), and find a slightly used, or new CUV. My initial though is the CX-5, since they seem to get hit harder with depreciation than Honda or Toyota (I wouldn't consider a modern Nissan unless it was Godzilla). What else should I consider? PS: This would be temporary, pay everything off. Pay off whatever car I buy, then I'd go back to having a pure fun car. Use the CUV as my DD while shes at home. |
If you're trying to save money, you don't do it by buying a new car.
