From them? No.

But veen DINAN claims 80whp and 100wtq with intercooler and stock downpipe (apparently not much there to gain on the N55) DINAN just uses a free flowing muffler. And the DINAN stuff is widely considered to be conservative vs JB4 MHD etc.

The stock tune only runs like 7psi and the stock turbo is capable of up to ~14-15psi at redline. It's VERY conservative from the factory.

I'm running the Stg 1 MHD tune on the 35 and its pretty peppy. I've got the parts to go stg 2+ which should get interesting.

Nice.

I "get" to go drop $500 on new rear tires here in a few hours. Went to go to lunch yesterday, right rear was DEAD. Like put air in it and you can here it coming back out. No idea, must have picked up something just before we got to the house on Saturday afternoon.

The left rear is just worn enough that I'm going to replace it as well. Guess that's the world telling me not to order a new set of wheels just yet.

What about the stuffs I hear about always changing all 4 on a Subaru. If I sound like a subie-nubie, that's cause I am.

On an AWD vehicle sure, this is my 135i. RWD, 245/35/18 Pilot Super Sport runflats.

YAY!

One general Subaru comment:

If I had seen the TV commercials about all this LOVE junk, not sure I'd have purchased a Subaru. I really do not fit the target demographic. Then again, I suppose that tends to be true of most WRX / STI buyers as well.

We don't even own a dog.

Picked up an 08' STI hatch this weekend that was involved in an interior fire. The engine and drive-line appear to be in good shape. Time will tell.

yowza!!

well if you got it for a song then should be a great donor. plans?

TheBandit 02-05-2018 01:04 PM

I'm thinking I'll put the 6-speed in the black wagon. I'll likely part out the rest. Doing the full r180 swap with the hubs seems like a lot of work for a car that likely won't see ridiculous power.

18psi 02-05-2018 01:12 PM

the trans doesn't carry over without the other stuff, unless you plan to make hybrid axles and driveshaft?

rleete 02-05-2018 01:16 PM

If I was local to you, I'd ask, "do you smell something burning?" every time I got in the car.

Here's what I'm using as a template.

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=1951619

It looks like the 04-07 shifter linkage and driveshaft seem to be the big ticket items needed.

z31maniac 02-09-2018 11:21 AM

And it begins. 18x8.5/18.9.5 staggered Apex ARC-8 ordered last night in the Group Buy and bullet nose studs to ditch the wheel bolts. Plan is to run either 235/40 or 245/35 up front, and 265/35/18 out back........haven't decided on exactly which tires. Stock is 215/40/18 and 245/35/18.

I have to decide if I'm going to do coilovers or not. 245 up front requires camber plates and you can squeeze 255 up front with a flat roll. And you can get 275s out back if you shave the inner fender lip and a 3mm spacer.

I don't want to lower the car too much, but it's really about getting extra inboard clearance and camber plates. I want it to handle TW200 tires for the occasional HPDE/AutoX, but I don't want to ruin it's street manners. I REALLY don't want to drop 4k on JRZ or MCS.

Doesn't someone like KW make a decent set for your car?

Yeah, but I've never used them. All their setups tend be soft, progressive springs so....

18psi 02-09-2018 11:47 AM

That's true. I really like that though lol. perfect for daily driver with occasional spirited

Yeah, I just didn't know if they will be constantly on the bump stops at the track or something. I know they are generally well regarded.

SUBARU BROs

You probably already know, but I just wanted to post this here for reference:
iWire has replacement plugs for pretty much every single thing on our cars. It's really neat, priced steeply, but neat.
So next time you break a connector, and everyone does at least at some point (most commonly the coil pack ones), you're covered.
