Related ish.
When we were in Barthelona, we did not go to elBulli (too far, too hard to get in), but we did go a place called Lolita Taperia. It was started by Ferran Adria's brother Albert as Inopia but after he parted ways with his partner, the place was renamed Lolita. And holy ***** **** were there some delicious foods there. They could plate dog poop and make me swoon.
There's a "best restaurant in the world" on every other corner along the cali coast as you both know, but I wanna try that place scott is talking about simply because it's near napa and I haven't really explored napa much yet.
btw, this was the place I ate at in Rome:

Lets get back to real 'Murica food in this thread. I am getting better at cooking brisket. I learned I had been smoking it to long and it was being to soft. This one needed to cook a little longer, but was pretty damn close to be perfect for slicing.
I ended up running low on charcoal so I had to add some more for the last several hours. Due to that it cooked a little hotter at the end that dried it out a bit more then I would like. I think the smoker was running 250-275 at the end verse my normal 225 of where I normally smoke at. I will be doing 2 more next month so I am hoping I do a little better. I am also working plans for building a new bigger better smoker on a trailer.
was.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. Season 1. Episode 7. October 17, 2005. 7 minutes in. His Napa Valley restaurant, The French Laundry, is in my opinion, the best restaurant in the world. Period.

Dinner last night at La Marée Jeanne in Paris. I normally don't like poisson but this was all really really good. Happy to take suggestions of where to go next to take pictures of food in Paris or in Fez next week.
