Are you kidding me? So if everyone around you has the same thing happening to them, it is not a prudent and reasonable thing to suspect that it could happen to you? This is called induction, and modern science has strong overtones of this type of thinking in it, and it IS, to a limited degree, valid logic.

I guess we shouldn't learn from the mistakes those who came before us have made either? I'm not intrinsically better than anyone else, and I won't live long enough to make them all myself...

And your example is poor. If there are 1,000 people in a population, and 100 are gay, that is a fact and it is not up for debate. It is NECESSARILY the case that, 1 in your group is gay, or there is another group of 10 homies that has at least 2 to make up for the missing gay.

man how did i miss this hot topic? well everythings been said that needs to be. "don't move, but look for job" "long distance is cool if you trust each other" , "marriage sucks/ marriage is great" yada yada. so i'll just share this, i had a long distance relationship and it was great.
