That's awesome that your recruiter is looking out for you. I seriously got so frustrated with mine that I ended up taking your advice and calling the Marines information and requesting to speak with some one else. I was getting upset having to answer the same questions every 3 days because "Marines recruiter 1" didn't see it necessary to write things down or listen to me when I spoke.

No joke, after 3 weeks of phone conversations and I still got **** like, "So, uh....J...Josh...Do you have any college?"

"So...uh...what do you want to do again? What was your ASVAB score?"

"Oh man, I was just in Key West like a few days ago, I should have stopped by to see you."


Marines are most likely going to get me. I'm still going to meet with the other recruiters and see what they can do, but my heart is pretty much set on the Marines at this point.

No dates yet. Looking to get my DEP setup next week. Hopefully no more than 5 months.


You were in pretty good shape last time you came down. I'm about 35 pounds lighter since the last time you saw me. Got serious back in my old competition lifting ways.

I'm glad to have a good group of recruits for sure. As far as your time in the DEP goes, I've been in since mid May I believe, and I'm not scheduled to go until early February, that's before my ship date gets pushed so I can see my brother graduate. Cant really speak for any other recruiting stations situation though.

EDIT: Now awaiting his call from the island. It's 23:33 local time, our recruiter said it might come around 02:00-03:00 but it could be earlier or later depending on when he left and if the weather effects his flight.

In other, other news, got a phone tonight from "Marines Recruiter 1" and holy **** did he have a change of heart. Good conversation. Motivated the **** out of me.

 

Just got a "cha ching" notice on my phone. Ohh, whats that? Just $724 through paypal like a ******* boss. I love my job.

In other news, I'm home alone drunk as ****. No idea when the gf is coming back either. That's also assuming that a) she comes back and b) that I let her. lol

Long story short. When the storm came and fucked everything up it took a regular fight to the next level. Now shes back at her parents house and she's comfortable. Shes trying to make me feel like the little kid in the corner, but I'm enjoying the no dogs, no yelling, no bs, etc etc. I miss her and I love her, but right now we have some **** going on. I picked up a bottle of jack and a 12 pack of bud on the way home. MW3 is on the way and should be here thurs. I have a lot of work to keep me busy so I should be fine. She may have dug herself into a hole or I might be talking out of my ***. Only time will tell.

I'm honestly not really worried, a recruiter conformed that he arrived so I'm content. My parents on the other hand are flipping their ****. We still have not received a phone call, the parents of another recruit who lives in Louisville have not yet received a call either, but the parents of the other guy who shipped with my brother did get their call. I know there is a good reason, and he will probably get to make the call soon, maybe before he goes to bed tonight.

Glad to hear MCR1 has gotten better. I would say you should make sure he's the guy you want to deal with when you need to get something done, a few months down the road when you have a change of heart concerning your MOS, you want the right recruiter who will help you out.

I'm more bothered by the headlights. I hate that color matched housing look. Throws everything off somehow. On any car that is. Tape idea is kind of stupid I guess.
