How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways
As he could tell from my LinkedIn, I've been a Technical Writer for approaching 7 years. From that, it seems obvious that I would be a great for a senior account manager at a large PR firm even though I've never done it professionally.

The fact that you know these things is grounds for the immediate revocation of your man card.

When the missus is so goddamned petite that she wears a size 5 1/2 shoe (which is apparently so small that it is not commonly available "off the rack"), you hear a lot about this sort of thing.
The internet is a big place.

I almost made a thread.
The original series was a bit before my time since a youngin, but Ive still seen quite a bit of it. Im glad to see someone such as Neil Degrasse Tyson taking on its legacy. I dont think anybody else could even begin to fill Sagan's shoes.

So today i received a text message saying that i'll be charged 30 bucks for having a smart phone on my account... Just got off the phone with ATT.. you know how quickly their tone changes from its 30 bucks extra or the highway to "oh yeah we got something better here?" Within seconds after saying "Thanks for your services, i'd like to cancel my entire account"

Same here. Im not much for appeals to pathos. Most of that **** that is supposed to tug at your heartstrings just seems so fake that it pisses me off.
The story of a redound astronomer taking the time to meet with a young black kid who was showing an interest in astronomy. That really touched me and it.
Obviously race wasnt the entire thing, and I know race relations were much better in the 70s than they were 20+ years prior, but even still, it shows you what kind of person Sagan was.

I was a bit let down by the show. Tyson was awesome as ever, but the combination of elementary facts and WAY too many commercials kind of fouled the mood for me. Which I do understand they had to start elementary for all of the people in America who don't even know the basics, and they had to have a bunch of commercials since it's network TV during prime time and they had to pay the bills. Hopefully it picks up pace in the coming episodes. 7.5/10
What is my avatar?
Never mind, google images told me. I knew it looked familiar. I don't get the connection. Hate the book, hate the movie. Fetch me a pony avatar, please.

Ooo, nice. I missed this post earlier. Yeah, I'll likely pay someone to do it. I have pretty much everything I need to do it, and know how, but I'd rather focus on the other million things I'm currently juggling with this house, getting a business going, finding ways to make enough money to keep my head above water, taking care of sickly family members, ect. ect. The fun stuff.

Ironically, that is absolutely the correct attitude to go along with that avatar. Marvin the Paranoid Android was perpetually depressed and angry, hated everything and complained loudly about it to no one in particular, etc.
I'll have to do a little research to see if there's a "perpetually depressed and hates everything" pony.
