I'm considering this v2.5

The engine just had it...ever since it was put on (2005) there were oil leaks, consumption, major blow-by, smoke on cold starts, smoke after sitting for days, oily black deposits on the exhaust, etc.

blown headgasket on the is one....betcha the head is warped.

but I'll have my existing block to build; ill figure out a head down the road as well. Make my vanity plate mean something for realz.

That sounds like my engine minus the oil leaks.

what? on the NEW (old) motor hanging in 1st post? blown hg?

it's easy enough to check for a warped head...

and diy port it!

yeah, the longblock I picked up, hanging there, has a blown headgasket. I'm just going to put my head on it.

I'm going to pull the head off it tomorrow and see how it looks. Right now my main goal is to get it running again. So I can just slap my head on and call it a day and reinstall, shoudn't take more than a few days work.

But if the head looks good I can easily do what I want with it and then swap it when it's done
