somwhere between 210-250rwhp

Nice motor!
Two stockers: one with blown rings, and one with a blwn head gasket? I'd hardly call either nice. :gay:

Dude... that looks like the result of a pressurized crankcase. does your pcv check out ok?

You do realize he is putting in a new shortblock because of this right? His rings are bad, so yes, his crankcase was pressurized.

:gay: :gay: :gay: :gay: :gay: I'm almost 100% positive that he checked that a long long time ago.

Oil this bad is the result of bad rings.

KEEP THE PICTURES COMING!!!! i enjoy seeing daily updates like this.

Scott,

You do know that if you didn't "correctly" route the PVC system you wouldn't have had oil in your intake? Well you might have had a fire instead I guess

Good luck!

I envision Scott's PCV system like this:

large tube coming from compressor outlet going directly to oil filler cap hole.

probably wouldn't have been a bad idea.....

yeah, arkmage, i lost compression when the rings gave out. That's the aftermath. PCV valve held 5-10-15-20-30psi without a hitch when i put it on my air compressor.

Thanks for being the only one that didn't reply like an ***... some of use don't have boost and haven't seen that kind of oil build up from blow by + boost. I'm just ignorant and haven't had experience here yet.

yeah, pressurize crankcase looks like this:

blown rings, at about 5k Tom's car just sprayed oil everywhere...im sure if my breather line wasn't attached into the intake mine would look the same....so instead i flooded the chamber and the car stalled.

Heh, my last pressurized crankcase was just a case of frozen lines running into my catchcan... which I had run from VC and shortblock.... my turbo became the PCV... I felt like Spyhunter... it was awesome.

made a bit of progress, didnt want to pull the turbo, but it was in the way to pull the P/S pump.

only a bit left and i can lift it.

oh and major discovery, my stupid intercooler pipe off the turbo was horrible...see pic...i had it pushed into the 90° too far and I was adding a restriction....I wonder how much that factored into my power output, if any, I'm sure it wasn't positive.

Just another before and after, just took some time to pretty things up under the bay while I can.

Everything but the starter and alt. plugs are off, looking to find a load leveler before I pull.
