I found out why the last engine blew....the waterpump is leaking. Gotta replace it...dunno why I decided against swapping mine over with a new gasket, but it serves me right. Oh well. Everything else is done, only puts me back a day.

Engine out, changed the timing belt and you didn't change the water pump. Doh! Even Guru's screw up.

I've got a bunch of heavy duty twisty ties you can have, if you decide zips aren't pissing Philip off enough.

Thanks for the shot of the flexi coolant hose. Looks like a great idea and an inexpensive solution. I wonder who FM got the idea from?

Well I got a new gasket now, but I'm still just swapping my original waterpump in there (2 years old). It was a gamble i debated about with peeps and I lost.

Yeah I wonder....I'm pissed because that's the only local shop I didn't think of calling. No biggie.

It's done. Gotta clamp down better on one of the heater hoses, but other than that it's idling. Needs a better tune with MegaSquirt, I guess having a shitty block makes you have to tune accordingly.

I hate those damn things, they don't flow as well as a straight hose and put stress on the radiator neck to keep them bent. I used them on the V8 FC and wouldn't again unless I absolutely had to

I think the majority of cash invested in this turbo setup went to Tbolt clamps...no?
