If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?

I'm a bit shocked, the doors still line-up, hatch lines-up, I see no wrinkles on the hitch or the frame rails. Should I still expect to get fucked over by insurance for the $650 bike rack and $200 hitch?

if you don't have a receipt, buy a new one asap and say "this is the replacement cost"?
I would expect some work is needed to the bumper cover... no wrinkled metal where the hitch mounts to the body?

I was super fortunate in this deal, looks like I only need a bumper cover, need the lower plastic panel on the hatch where stuff bounced off it from the offending car, and the rack. The hitch looks fine and I see no wrinkles anywhere under the car, no deformities where the hitch mounts or further up on the frame. I am a bit concerned about what the body shop is going to do with the hitch though.

Happening to my GF now. Dude dropped something in his car and bent down to pick it up and drove right into her car which was stopped at a light. She's been found not at fault, but the car is considered a total loss. They're offering her 2-3k under KBB/NADA value of her car and sent along some shitty local cars of the same model/year to give evidence saying why their offer was legit. I'm trying to get her to fight it by counter offering with pictures of all the sites suggesting prices for her car from a dealer in similar condition. It'll be a win even if they meet her half way.

Finished up my spring build. Picked up this Stevens cyclocross bike for super cheap locally
Added an X0 RD, to go with the rest of the Force drive train, and an 11-36 XT cassette fed by power glide rings. Picked up some Bontrager CX0 tires that the locals have been having success with, and set them up tubeless on a set of Fulcrum CX wheels I had laying around. So far, seems to be a pretty solid do everything budget setup. It's also my only road bike at the moment, and with a swap of wheels, does local group rides as well without any issue, although probably not for much longer.
The plan is to hit up the local Indiana and western Kentucky rides, and eventually I want to do the Badlands Gravel Battle, as it's an awesome race near where I grew up, in an area that is not a very bike heavy area.

Phil Gaimon stopped by our local gold-standard climb and obliterated the record by over a minute. Insanity.
