my 1.8 disc for comparison:

Mine looks like a thicker plate. Perhaps I compensated for that with the custom work and might have been responsible for the extra grabiness my setup has.

Epic fail: the **** still will not disengage with thinner disc and shims.

Slightly off topic. But where are you guys buying your ACT kits?

640 for a XTSS is expensive directly from them. I see Scott got a XTMM for 342 which is cheaper then ACT's site by 100 bucks.

And another off topic, but whats the difference pros/cons of getting a MM vs SS disc?

better friction material, stiffer springs. If I had the choice, I'd go with SS.

ACT Xtreme Duty Clutches
ZM2-XTSS $475.57 x 1
$475.57
Honda-Tech Discount:
-$23.78
Handling:
$33.00

Both of you have the 1.6 flywheel? I wonder if they're designing the 1.6 stuff like it'll fit a 1.8 flywheel with the pedestals?

I just called Igor. He said the red pressure plate could be the problem. He said they will refund mine since I haven't used it. I'm going to wait a couple days to see if anything develops, then it's going back.

the PP is the issue.

also between the three discs I've seen, none were the same.

Mine was thick (>8mm) and has a different designed wing than Brad's. Brad's first one had no etching of the brand name and the hub cover completely hid the springs. The second one they sent was teh exact same thing with a different plate, both were 6mm.

The issue really is the travel of the TOB, it doesn't go down far enough to lift the friction surface up.

Mine didnt work with the Centreforce because my disc really was thicker than normal, compared to the 6mm ones they sent brad, so it would never lift up. then when i used the clutchnet PP, that was the issue. it worked with 3mm of shims and the rod extended completely to get the travel I needed, but alas the TOB failed.

Brad is going to reuse his old PP, as it turned out to be an ACT XT and use one of the two discs they sent him. We tested it on press and it was able to release from the disc as it should.

I recommend everyone that bought clutchnet kits return them.

at least Brad will have the same combo, so we know that will work.

Which clutch kit from prostreet would you recommend for a 1.6? I haven't dealt with ACT before, and that site isn't very descriptive.

Wait, they were sening out discs that are too thick?

Is it just their 3x discs, or 2x's, too?

Edit: Read more... What's their return policy like? I'd rather get parts that aren't likely to suck to minimize the odds of having to do the install twice.
