I recognize that shop, Piper Motorsports out in Sterling. They do top quality work and are known for being just about the best roll cage fabricators on the east coast. A big chunk of the Spec Miata crowd has Piper cages, as does my dad's track toy RX-7. I've been there a couple times and they're always working on some badass cars.
Some day I'd like to have more money than I know what to do with. Then I could just write a big check and have somebody else build some crazy **** whenever the mood strikes. The dampers alone on that thing cost considerably more than I paid for my Miata.

Damn why can't I have money to throw around. One day when I am rich and can sit at home all day in my 10,000 square foot shop, I'm going to build **** like this. Oh yeah, OMG!
And yes, +1000 E30 is cooler than E36. An E30 was actually on the list of cars I wanted when I got the Miata.
PS, wonder what a V10 in a box costs. I'd imagine that one maybe $10-$15k?
