I don't need an adjustable trigger, just a good trigger. I don't need a $400 butt, a $99 will get me there. This is a "fancy-pants" style build.

I know remington makes "special" .22 just for AR conversions, but I dont fire anything less than 40 grain in my GSG-5, because I had cycle issues with it using a 35 grain, and the shop I buy from told me to use a heavier grain, clean rounds. I used to use Remington Gold, but it wasnt good enough now i use CCI bulk jacketed .40 grain, or bulk remington jacketed .40 grain

I need to get a suppressor soon. I need more money. Actually, I want 2 suppressors. A .22 suppressor, and a large caliber suppressor. Are there suppressors that would work reasonably well on both a .45 ACP pistol and a .223 rifle?

Yes, they are called multi-caliber supressors, and if I remember, they range from 600-1000 dollars

Some are kits, they will have caliber sized baffles or threaded fittings for the weapon you want it on.

Hmm, that's actually not bad. Centerfire suppressors tend to be silly expensive anyway. Really, just a decent $250-300 .22 suppressor would be a good starting point.

10/22's are safe from their "weapons ban" ------ree, long as it doens't have a *gasp* "high capacity" magazine or a pistol grip. ------- injudicious idiots.

I bought two of those 30rd S&W magazines, lol. Maybe I should go ahead and order some huge-mags for the 10/22 I don't own yet.

hustler 07-30-2012 12:14 AM

How do so many people have suppressors for their 10/22s? Do they all buy through a trust and pay the NFA tax?

mgeoffriau 07-30-2012 01:25 AM

A trust is supposedly the way to go. No concerns over getting a local CLEO to sign off on your paperwork. You're paying the $200 stamp either way, though.

Update - not that anyone cares around here - but ATF says they are possession of the supressor I have a stamp on (and I will finally get it after more paperwork); the other two that were disapproved - well, at least they aren't in my name, but I lost money on these. Thankfully I didn't pay him for the stamps. All said and done, I only lost $700 dealing with this asswipe. He's facing fed charges - taking peeps cash on NFA items saying he'll take care of paperwork but never doing it... feel sorry for the poor bastard who bought an FA item...

My 30 and 22 cal suppressors are on Form1... except for the above mentioned

I guess I'm lucky to have an FFA/NFA guy who's a friend. That sucks.

Hmm. 1974 Colt Cobra .38sp, nickel-plated, just came up for sale locally for $375. I know it's not a bad price. Just don't know if it's such a good price that I should buy it even though I don't need it.

I would buy it. I'm not particularly fond of Colt revolvers and the dickriders that have driven the price of them through the roof. I much prefer the feel of the older Smiths, as do many others.

I think I'm going to pass. Apparently, it'd have to be in near-perfect condition, preferably with the original box, for me to make much of a profit on it.

Great deal on a complete entry-level AR...
Palmetto State Armory AR-15 Rifle M4 Optic Ready w/ FN Barrel - Reg. Price $749.99 - Long Guns

I've got my heart set on an MP15-OR, but this gun with a railed gas block would be on my short list otherwise.

Nice but the same price as an M&P15 Sport.

Show-Me Shooters in Independence Missouri is running a sale right now.

DPMS Oracle .223/5.56 for $650.00. Not on their website, you'd have to call.

Nothing wrong with another toy in your toy chest.

Should I get a set of night-sights for my M&P9s?
Is this a decent night-sight for my M&P9L?
2-TG131MP - Truglo Brite-Site Sight S&W M&P Green TG131MP
3-1024778 - Truglo S&W M&P Brite-Site Tritium Night Sights Green Front and Rear
2-TG131MPT - TRUGLO S&W M&P TFO Tritium and Fiber Optic Combination Night Sights, Green Front and Rear
7-MP2210G - S&W M&P HiViz Front and Rear Sight Set Green
Are these really easier to see at night?

Does anyone make them for a Shield yet? I can't seem to find anything online.
