I also found out that the PSA website hates the server on the ship and won't let me add anything to the cart

I've been busy shooting the Obrez I built and the AK-74. The last AK-47 I bought has been down for months. The rear leaf sight was screwed up the day I bought it and I just got the replacement in the mail (UPS overnight) yesterday. Took them months to send it to me.

PSA will soon have another store being built about 20 miles from the house so Shuiend and I won't have to worry about servers not liking their website any longer. We are also getting a Gander Mountain and a Bass Pro Shop. Charleston if finally becoming a real city.

Ammo sales have been pretty dry. I've had a hard time getting anything. Prices are depressed but supply is way down. Still don't understand what is going on with that. I did manage to get nine of these the other day:

Would have been enough profit in those to buy a 23" VEPR 7.62x54r but I waited around long enough for them to be sold out everywhere again. I screwed up by not being able to decide on the normal wood furniture vs Atlantic black modified stock.

There is a new 20 round mag coming out for them and that is what I've really been waiting for.

Holy shitballs, I actually won a Glock from the GSSF match I shot last month. Now I have to figure out which pistol I want...

I can run a mile, but a pull up is out of the question. What should I carry?

I won a Springfield XD 4" Service Model in .40 S&W from a NRA dinner a few years back. I got in for free so I felt guilty and bought a raffle ticket. Best $45 gun ever

Yup, I dragged the wife along and made her register for $60.
BAM! Free pistol.
I think I'll go with a G26, because I have weak, effeminate wrists

Got my father in law's black powder guns last weekend. Thompson-Center Hawken with double set triggers. The thing weighs a ton. Well, it's actually 9.1 pounds unloaded. Still, it seem like a lot to have to carry.

Loaded Garand weighs in at 9.5 lbs.

I can't believe it took me so long to find this thread. Unfortunately, no pics of the 240 or the M11, but our M4s looked like this circa 2010.

My loaded RPK weighed over 25 pounds. Owned two of them, sold them both, will get another one at some point (won't put a scope on it though - that was just a dumb decision)...

I'm a big fan of the AR family, but there is something very satisfying about a well-sorted com bloc weapon.

I put a deposit on a Colt Delta Elite this afternoon but I'm already having buyer's remorse.

mgeoffriau 06-23-2014 11:27 PM

I liked my Saiga AK but couldn't get past the terrible ergonomics. It's just too easy to build a good, basic AR.

rmcelwee 06-25-2014 06:03 PM

Bought an M92 today ($455 out the door with two 30 round hold open mags).

SBR? Flash hider? Stain the wood? Swap to synthetic? Not sure. Wanted the .223 version but took a road trip to Palmetto State Armory and they had one on the shelf that I just couldn't leave without.

Yeah, I like the feel of the grip itself, but it's hard to make furniture truly universal for an AK.
