I hope the price of Estate #7.5 never gets high enough that reloading shotshell looks like a good idea. For the few times a year I go, a $50 trip to Walmart is well worth not going down that road.

I've got my 9mm reloads down to just under .09 cents a round... which would have been awesome 3 years ago when it was .30cents a round, but now that you can buy reman for .13cents, it almost doesn't make sense when you can sell the brass off after.

Ordered some aqua-tainers (7 gallon each) from Blains. On sale thru 3/20. Opted to get the smaller containers due to having no way to fill the big guys in my basement. If the first batch are decent, I'll order more.
Lifestraws or their other products are on my radar next. I will probably get a couple straws for bug out and either their mission or family pack for bug in. I also am looking at some kind of stove top propane grill. Some built ins can run on natural gas or propane. Seems like an insurance disaster though if you had a fire during testing. I am looking at something indoor for security. I dont want to advertise i have food by cooking outdoors on the grill. |

It is normally just a matter of changing the nozzles depending on the gas you are burning. I use this sawyer filter when I backpack: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1457889833 I like it because I can put it inline with my camelback and the filtration is completely passive. I can also use it as a gravity filter that way. |
Have you guys seen this? A friend just picked one up.

As far as I know, nearly all built-ins can use propane or natural gas.

Tell me about Form 1 cans. I need some stuff to occupy me while I wait on my Form 4 goodies.

^That's some serious flash. Do not want. I'd be blind and deaf after a burst from that at night.
He must be giving up a lot of velocity since so much expansion seems to be happening outside of the barrel. |
Kittery Trading Post is taking forever to get a Savage MKII FV-SR in stock for me. Its like $10 bucks cheaper from them than ordering one online and then paying the transfer fee. I'm trying to build a baby precision rifle, something that's capable of sub MOA but will take serious effort and skill to shoot good groups at 300 yards. Its going to cost me $250 for the gun and $190 for the stock I want. I'm trying to find something else in around this price range with a threaded barrel either needing or not needing a new stock.
I have a form 1 sitting with the ATF but I only submitted it yesterday even though I paid a month ago because the damn site crashed after I hit submit and I didnt notice. The huge 9" long 22lr solvent trap is sitting on my desk just waiting to be drilled and mounted onto that gun. |
Bud's has that rifle in stock for $239 shipped, I think.
