Brunch on Friday probably doesn't work for me, because I need to spend Friday morning picking up the trailer from the storage place, loading stuff, and then driving down. Doing that and getting there by 11 isn't going to happen. My original plan had been to aim to get there around 4, because that's when the paddock is supposed to be open for us to drop off trailers. I could move that time up, but then I'd be stuck trying to park the truck+trailer in Monterey somewhere, which can be pretty miserable.

My impression is that this year should be more like it was in 2009-2013, so hopefully we'll get to use the front gate.

Nope. Normal spot. I'm sure it could squeeze Apparently its going to be empty. I was like 1 of 5 reservations or something.

Also, I noticed the email with the schedule for weekend finally came out last night. Lol

I would count me out for brunch. I'm likely gonna clean up a few little things with the car and won't head down until this evening.

 

Black Bear in Monterey isn't an issue, I haz Subaru so no big. Jen will probably come along but we'll see. I need to reassemble the Miata and pray I can find somewhere in town to get it aligned this afternoon, but that's about it.

Evening should also be completely clear IF I get those other things done.

 

Sorry, I can't make brunch. Salinas is an hour from my house, I don't have stuff loaded and ready to go yet, and I'm not going to drive down there and back.

Aidandj sent me a text, looks like they are going to be stopping somewhere further to the north. Gives me more time to sort out my mess.

 

I left home at 3:30, it took like 3 hours to get to Monterey, traffic was miserable. Serves me right for being a lazy bum and procrastinating the last track prep on the car until Friday morning.

Met up with Aidan and Ed at the BBQ.

Too much last minute stuff here as well. I just started putting the nt01s on the car in the dark so I don't have to do it tomorrow. I figure I'm not going to kill them in 12 miles of street driving.

And idea what gates will be open tomorrow? I'm guessing Jim Moore Blvd and the highway 68 enterance will be open, just not sure about the entrance on Reservation Rd.

 

The 68 entrance was open today, I didn't try any of the others.

12 miles on NT-01s is nothing.

Didn't see any turbo kitty tape out today. I'll look harder tomorrow.

 

We moved the caution tape during the day so that we could get cars in and out. Look for the big red trailer, it's the easiest thing to spot. (not ours, it belongs to the guy parked next to us)
