I signed up for both Fri BBQ and Sat dinner because, uh... I dunno, seemed like the thing to do and I figured I could always change it later if I changed my mind.

The friday BBQ is the one in the embassy parking lot right? I signed up for that one. Did not pay the extra $20 for Saturday dinner whatever thing. Would love to do something like what we did last year (though perhaps at a less costly location?) on Saturday night.

 

I'd be up for that, although I don't have an alternate location to suggest.

black bear diner was expensive?
it was like 20/person max. I am by no means a snobby rich guy but even a crappy fast food place will cost 10/person minimum

You didn't come last year Vlad. Last year Saturday night we went to a restaurant near the track (I forget the name) and the cheapest entree was like $22 for some pasta. Steaks were $40. It was pretty good food but not looking to drop that much $$ on dinner this time around.

Anyhow, when are you coming down? Will you still be around for dinner Saturday night?

 

We'll be staying at a friends house in Santa Cruz and just coming over in the morning and leaving in the evening. Likely will be there for whole weekend, but who knows

 

What's the general picture of this event/weekend look like for you MT peoples? Should be moved out to North CA in July so I might be making it out. Track readiness is yet to be determined but it sounds fun regardless.
