What if you are FI and have no intercooler and run water injection. Then where should one place it?

Buy a cheap intercooler. The only reason Im doing this is beacuse I cant install everythig I have at once as I have no time nor skills for that. Im doing it by parts.... A lot of member run ebay-coolers, I for example have a godspeed theres also CRX racing ( some IC include universal pipes).

However if you insist on not gettin an intercooler put it above the idler valve right before the throtle inlet, as far away as possible from anything that produces extreme heat.

PS:GET AN INTERCOOLER

My, what a helpful reply!

Cookie Monster, I'd place the IAT post turbine/blower but pre the WI outlet. spraying water on the IAT element will give you a false reading, (like when you lick your finger and blow on it, your breath feels colder than it really is).

After reading a few of these threads it seems like the best place is just beyond the intercooler exit pipe since it isn't behind the radiator catching the warm air after it passes through the radiator.

How are people installing the O2 bung? I know that I should go find a shop to cut a hole and weld it into my pipe. I'm lazy. If anyone can give me good supporting evidence that i can use some form of metal epoxy without having future problems then that is what I will use.

I drilled a pipe with a 3/8 npt, same tap used to thread the oil pan, and screwed the sensor in there.

Oh I had a completely different idea of how WI was sprayed. Tyson however does have the sensor right before the throtle body.

I have my IAT mounted after my WI nozzle. I will end up making a standoff that puts the tip of the IAT out of the air path. Which is ultimately out of the meth which (i hope) will not give false readings.

I just drilled the hole for mine. It is about half way between the intercooler and the throttle body. Almost at the level of the bottom of the radiator. I wanted it closer to IC, but hardware installation limited my options. I think it will do just fine where it is. I'll get the bung welded on tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be up and running with my diypnp next weekend.
