That's what I used when I had a Dell laptop installed in the glove compartment. Outputs 18/19/20V and survives during cranking. Powers on when you turn the ignition on and shuts down the system when you switch the ignition off (the delay is selectable). For this specific PC, a little soldering may be required (and you may have to add an external on/off button).

Yeah, the dual-core Atoms are pretty nice, and the D945GCLF motherboard family finally supports 800x480 natively, but I'm still holding out for this bad boy: http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/em...id=1070&tabs=1
