Default Help an idiot convert to wideband

My MSPNP is currently tuned and running off of the stock narrowband sensor. A wideband is installed and running but as a gauge only, not hooked into MS. The wiring is simple. No problem there. Question is how do I change my current program to wideband?!?

It's an AEM Ueqo. Instructions say I have to go into the configurator and change the ini settings for that particular unit. Problem is I don't see how to open the file for my car or how to import those settings to it. There is no listing in the configurator table for my file. How do I get an existing file to it?

I know, I'm an idiot! I have no right trying this on my own with my extremely limited knowledge. The car runs great from BEGI, I'm just thinking it can be better.

Thanks for any help for dummies like me.

open MT, file configurator. do you business, save, open mt again.

then go to ego. change the switch point to 2.35, steps to 24, and should be good to go.

I'll try it. What I don't understand is all the instructions say I should have a project file in the configurator column but it isn't there. Where do I save the megasquirt200185941651 file to so it shows up in the configurator listing? I'm guessing I've been saving the existing tune in the wrong location.

I'm looking at the ego control. Sensor type wideband. switch point 2.35. What do you mean steps 24? Ignition events or msec per step ? Controller step size? Currently the events is set to 72. step size is 0.

Thanks Ben! Appreciate the help buddy. I prefaced the entire thread that I'm an idiot at this. I'm trying to follow instructions but for a non-tuner they aren't exactly clear. Everything says save your file, it doesn't tell you where to save it - ever!

If there are any megasquirt guru's in my area I'd gladly pay them to do this for me!

I just opened my PNP manual up again, pages 21-22 outline in detail what to do. All you have to do
file>configurator>mspnp w/o afm>settings.ini>lambda sensor
make your change
save
run megatune
/end

you don't have to change any file names or directories. ever. don't know why you would want to or why you think you'd need to.

Sorry, In the instructions I've been reading it says - open configurator- open car1 file - which I guess they mean as whichever car file is yours. There is no car1 file or with the name I'm using for my car.

Again, I'm an idiot.

Still curious, what is meant by "steps to 24"?

Yeah I was just looking at VE tables. Braineack. What wideband are you running off of? I'm looking at the Absurdflow guy's and it isn't nearly as rich as what you put up.
